The ARM Cortex-M3 core delivers 1.25 CoreMark/MHz efficiency while consuming as low as 180 µA/MHz in active mode and less than 1 µA in deep sleep mode. Energy Mode 0 (EM0) provides full CPU and peripheral operation, while EM1-EM4 progressively reduce power consumption by selectively disabling peripherals and clocks. The integrated Energy Management Unit (EMU) enables intelligent power mode transitions, extending battery life in coin-cell and energy-harvesting applications by up to 10x compared to traditional microcontrollers.

Rich Peripheral Integration & Connectivity

This microcontroller features a comprehensive peripheral set designed for industrial and IoT applications. The dual 12-bit 1 Msps ADC channels support differential and single-ended measurements with programmable gain amplifier (PGA), enabling precision sensor interfacing for temperature, pressure, and analog signal monitoring. The 12-bit DAC provides accurate analog output for control systems and audio applications. Communication interfaces include two USART modules supporting UART, SPI, and SmartCard protocols, plus I2C for multi-device bus communication. The Low Energy UART (LEUART) operates independently in sleep modes, enabling asynchronous data reception while maintaining ultra-low power consumption. Built-in DMA controller offloads CPU tasks, reducing active power consumption during data transfers.
